Biblical Proportions
Godly masterpieces and portraiture have representedthe step above human kind and what it looks like to be closer to God. Biblical Proportions is a series in progress that references these images to create the new classic portrait. Addictions, or vices, drive so much of culture today and are used to fill the void that makes us feel complete, the way the idea of God once did. Biblical Proportions currently consists of “The Last Supper” using gluttony, “St. Francis in Ecstasy” using self-mutilation and “Madonna and Child” using greed. These new classic portraits represent today’s higher power: addiction. -Evan Schwartz |
